Consultation

The initial consultation affords the opportunity required to properly address an individual's requirements, allowing for an appropriate programme of care to be devised.

Sports & Remedial Massage

Sports and remedial massage therapy is used in the treatment and prevention of injuries. It combines general and deep tissue manipulation techniques along with various forms of stretching to help maintain and improve muscle health and performance.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points can be described as hyperirritable spots in skeletal muscle with palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibres. These points have been identified as being responsible for referring pain to other areas. Treating these areas with digital ischemic pressure can help deactivate these points and reduce pain.

Joint Mobilisations

Joint mobilisations are a set of manual therapy techniques delivered to affected joints of the body in order to reduce stiffness, improve range of motion, reduce pain and improve function.

Relaxation Massage

This is for those that require a non-therapeutic but restful and relaxing massage not designed to deal specifically with pain or discomfort.

Rehabilitation

The various treatments combine to assist in the rehabilitation of a patient but this heading is specifically focused on the programme of exercise designed for an individual, to enable their progression through the rehabilitative stages in order to achieve their goals. Exercises are designed to reduce pain, improve range of motion, improve muscle strength and coordination and may include sports specific activities.

Injury Prevention

Through the combination of assessment and examination areas can be identified which may predispose to injury. using manual therapy, massage, exercise prescription, activity modification and possibly the use of orthotics, potential areas of concern can be addressed which may help prevent the potential for future injury.
